In the words of Drake, what a time to be alive. Last Thursday, Raleigh was taken by storm by The Art of Cool Festival, and we haven’t looked back since. Patrons of The Pour House in Raleigh got to experience the talent of Terrace Martin, saxophonist and producer of Kendrick Lamar’s latest album, To Pimp a Butterfly. As the clock struck 10, patrons were able to experience the 2016 AOCFEST lineup before anyone else, as DJ Khrysis spun hits from Thundercat, The Internet, and others coming to Durham next May.
We at Art of Cool have worked hard to curate content much like your favorite Pandora station: we take an artist we know you already love, and find artists similar to them we think you’ll like. In turn, you’re always the friend with the latest taste in music, and have the best playlists of all your friends. Next year’s lineup is no different. We’ve introduced some new players (The Internet) , included some artists we know you love (Kamasi Washington & Terence Blanchard) , and brought back fan favorites (Thundercat & Moonchild). All combined to make a memorable lineup you won’t want to miss.
In fact, our lineup has drawn the attention of many music fans nationwide. Check below to see just a few cosigns of our lineup & featured artists.
