AOCFEST Announces Lineup Change, VIP Brunch Artist

Coming off of a strong sophomore year, The Art of Cool Festival is gearing up to present its third year festival May 6-8, 2015. The festival has announced PJ Morton as the Sunday VIP Brunch artist. Morton will be the exclusive Sunday brunch performer. Morton is the keyboardist for pop band Maroon 5, and has worked with artists ranging from Chantae Cann, Jazmine Sullivan, Stevie Wonder and Lil Wayne. Morton is the son of New Orleans Bishop & gospel singer Paul S. Morton. Last year’s VIP brunch performer was Avery*Sunshine.

The 2016 lineup includes The Internet, part of the Odd Future Records label, headlining at the Carolina Theatre on Saturday. Due to unforeseen circumstances, DWELE will not be apart of the Art of Cool Festival as a DJ or Performer. He would, however, want his fans to support the festival’s amazing lineup. Moonchild will open for the Internet, as they are now on world tour with the group.

“We are saddened to lose Dwele from our schedule,” states co-founder Cicely Mitchell. “However, we are pleased that Moonchild and The Internet have already toured and performed together, so The Internet fans will easily recognize the pairing. ”

Noted AOCFEST past performers include Anthony Hamilton, Robert Glasper, Roy Ayers, Snarky Puppy, and BadBadNotGood. All tickets are now on sale. Patrons can purchase headliner tickets to see Terence Blanchard, Moonchild/The Internet via TicketMaster or Carolina Theatre Box Office. All other passes are available via eTix on the official festival website (aocfestival.org).
